Rabbit Tarpon Fly

This old school pattern still fishes well especially on the Yucatan tarpon flats.  Even though this is a pretty long fly it's slim and sinks fast on the heavy wire hook

The chartreuse is more yellow than green, a color many captains insist on, few commercial flies are tied in this effective color. The orange is also difficult to find but effective color. Black is a great fly! When a Black Death is recommended choose this fly instead, it fishes much better: better movement, better profile, similar color. All the Rabbit Tarpon Flies have the in-line mono loop guard and are tied on the Gamakatsu 3/0 SC15-2H.
