There are times, whether tarpon fishing, jumping barracuda or going off shore when you have to have good baitfish imitations. These few flies cover an extraordinary range of situations combining realism with great action in the water. Although these baitfish imitations are geared towards the warmer waters each one has been effective in the North. This collection of baitfish flies has landed sailfish, 'cudas, tarpon, bluefish and stripers.

Of course most saltwater species will eat smaller baitfish. Snook and seatrout almost always feed on bait. At times redfish are completely focused on a local baitfish “hatch”. Even permit will eat a minnow once in a while. The S.S.Flies collection has expanded to include great snook flies and flies that can be fished in the mangroves or weedlines.
