| To anglers the Bahamas and bonefish are synonymous; wherever the water gets shallow bonefish can be tailing-up on any number of crustacean or mollusk species. Three of the most famous saltwater fly patterns: Crazy Charlies, Gotchas and Puffs, were developed for these fish. Saltwater flyfishing started early in the Bahamas and these waters continue to be an inspiration to anglers and tyers today. Bonefish are not the only storied quarry in the Bahamas, permit and tarpon frequent the flats and more captains are willing to target them. |
